Job Title: Head of IT Operations & Systems

Compensation: $86.00 to 105.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Lead Technology Strategy Across North America - Step into a pivotal leadership role where your expertise will shape the future of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems operations across a major North American logistics network. As Head of IT Operations & Systems, you'll oversee a complex, multi-country IT ecosystem supporting multiple distribution centers across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

You'll lead a team of managers and IT professionals driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration across five affiliate companies.

What You'll Lead:

Strategic IT Leadership

• Define and execute the vision for IT infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity across North America.
• Align regional operations with global IT standards and security protocols.
• Partner with senior leadership to ensure IT strategies support business growth and operational efficiency.
• Team Development & Organizational Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of IT managers and professionals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and career development to ensure team success and retention.

Infrastructure & Systems Oversight

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure, including cloud, data centers, and virtualization.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems supporting critical business operations.
• Manage system upgrades, technical specifications, and documentation standards.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect systems, networks, and data from internal and external threats.
• Coordinate with global HQ to ensure alignment with international security standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and implement proactive security measures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with application development teams and business units to align system capabilities with operational needs.
• Support system integration with external vendors and partners.
• Provide technical leadership for enterprise applications including SAP, SQL, and custom platforms.

Project & Financial Management

• Lead cross-functional IT projects from planning through execution, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Develop and manage annual IT budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement strategies.
• Oversee financial operations including affiliate invoicing and vendor payments.

What You Bring:

• 15+ years of IT infrastructure and systems leadership experience, including cybersecurity.
• Proven success managing distributed teams and complex technical environments.
• Deep knowledge of cloud services, networking, data centers, and enterprise systems.
• Strong project management, vendor negotiation, and financial oversight skills.
• Experience with system integrations, technical troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
